Best Heated Gloves in Canada (2026)
Specs checked November 4, 2026 · Version française
Hands give out first: on the shovel, at the bus stop, over an ice-fishing hole. A heated glove adds a thin wire fed by a lithium battery in the cuff. Whether it keeps your fingers working at minus 25 comes down to three things titles rarely spell out: the format, the energy in the battery, and the setting the runtime was measured on.
The short answer
- Deep cold, long hours, little movement: a heated mitt. The WASOTO states 22.2 Wh and up to 8 hours on low.
- You need your fingers: a five-finger glove with wire in every finger, like the SAVIOR HEAT.
- You like the gloves you own: a thin heated liner underneath them.
- Job site: a leather work glove with a heated palm, and a realistic view of what tool-battery gloves you can actually buy here.
How we picked, and what we did not do: we have not tested these gloves on our own hands. Every specification on this page is quoted from the manufacturer’s Amazon.ca listing, checked November 4, 2026, and every product on a card was in stock in Canada that day. Where a listing contradicts itself or leaves a number out, we say so. Links to Amazon are affiliate links; BranchéQC may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not write prices by hand: the button says “Check price” and the Amazon page is what counts.
Heated mitts or heated gloves?
The mitt is warmer. Fingers in one pocket share their heat and expose less surface, so the same battery has less to fight. Standing still for hours on a frozen lake, the mitt wins.
The glove is more useful. You can start the snow blower, close a ski boot or answer the phone. Separated fingers lose heat faster, so look for listings that say the element reaches the fingertips.
The liner is the in-between. A thin heated glove under your own shell keeps most of a glove’s dexterity. It needs space: squeezed into a snug outer glove, it presses out the insulating air.
Battery voltage and watt-hours: read the label properly
Most heated gloves run on two lithium packs, one per hand, sold on their mAh. Energy is volts × amp-hours = watt-hours. WASOTO does the arithmetic on its own listing: 7.4 V × 3 Ah = 22.2 Wh. The SAVIOR HEAT gloves use 7.4 V, 2,200 mAh packs, which works out to about 16.3 Wh each.
A 3.7 V cell needs twice the mAh to hold the energy of a 7.4 V pack. So 6,000 mAh with no voltage (MRAWARM) or 3,000 mAh with no voltage (KEMIMOTO) cannot be lined up against a 7.4 V competitor. Treat a missing voltage as missing information, not as a bigger battery.
Charging costs next to nothing. As a transparent example: two 22.2 Wh packs hold 44.4 Wh, or 0.044 kWh. At an example rate of 10 cents per kWh, a full charge of both is under half a cent, before charger losses. Whatever your provincial rate, this is not where the money goes.
Runtime on low versus high, as the listings state it
Runtime headlines use the lowest setting, the flattering one. The listings that break it down show the gap:
| Model | High | Medium | Low |
|---|---|---|---|
| MRAWARM gloves | 2.5 h | 3.4 h | 4.8 h |
| CYCYHEAT kids' mitts | 2.5 to 3 h | 4.5 to 5 h | 9.5 to 10 h |
| SAVIOR HEAT ski socks | 2 to 2.5 h | 4 to 5 h | 8 to 10 h |
The pattern is consistent: on high, the same pack lasts somewhere between a quarter and a half of its low-setting time. The practical routine follows from that. Start on high to bring cold hands back, then drop to low and stay there.
Lithium in deep cold: keep the spares warm
A cold lithium battery delivers less of the energy it holds. In a real cold snap, plan on fewer hours than the listing promises.
- Leave with full packs, charged the night before at room temperature.
- Carry spares in an inside pocket, against your body. SAVIOR HEAT and WASOTO sell spare packs on Amazon.ca; match voltage and connector.
- Prefer a charge display. It beats guessing at the lake.
- Never charge a frozen pack. Let it warm to room temperature, charge on a hard surface with the supplied charger, and retire any pack that is swollen, cracked or soaked.
The seven picks, compared on published specs
Every figure is the manufacturer’s own. Where a listing gives no number, the table says so rather than guessing.

You already own 12 V tool batteries, so why buy glove packs? Milwaukee sells heated gear on its M12 platform, hence the searches for “Milwaukee heated gloves”. When we checked Amazon.ca on November 4, 2026, the M12 heated items in stock were jackets and a hoodie, not gloves. The heated gloves that do appear under a similar name are sold by Milwaukee Leather, a different brand, and they run on their own 7.4 V packs, not on M12 tool batteries. Read the brand line before you pay.
For a tool-battery glove, check the tool maker’s catalogue and confirm the battery model in the box. Otherwise, the KEMIMOTO above is the in-stock work glove we could verify. For brands we could not find on Amazon.ca, Karbon among them, ask for the voltage, the capacity and the runtime per level wherever you buy.
Heated socks: heating zone and boot fit
Same logic for feet, with one extra question: where does the element sit? A heated sock never warms the whole foot, only the area its element covers.
- Toes. The SAVIOR HEAT ski socks put a carbon fibre panel across the toes, on 7.4 V, 2,200 mAh packs (runtime per level in the table above). Right for a rigid ski boot.
- Sole, toes and top of the forefoot. The VICEPLUS socks run a 34-inch element across all three: 8,000 mAh per sock, no voltage listed, up to 10 hours on low. Sole heat suits standing on ice or concrete.
- A heated insole instead. The Thermrup insoles heat 18 cm from heel to toe on a 7.4 V, 2,500 mAh, 6 W pack and keep your wool socks. No runtime is listed; 18.5 Wh divided by 6 W is about three hours if 6 W is the full draw.
Boot fit matters more than the battery. A tight boot squeezes out the insulating air. Try boots and socks together; you should be able to wiggle your toes. Check that snow pants close over the calf battery, and that your boot has room for a 6 mm insole.
Lenz heated socks appear on Amazon.ca, but the listings we found give few details, and one is a replacement sock sold without battery packs. Confirm what is in the box.
Washing heated gloves and socks
- Take the batteries out and unplug the cable.
- Follow the label. When in doubt, hand wash in lukewarm water with mild soap.
- Do not wring. Press it out in a towel.
- Dry flat, away from a baseboard heater, and wait until the connector is dry too.
Off season, store the packs separately, partly charged, somewhere at room temperature.
Health, Raynaud’s and kids
Several listings mention Raynaud’s. A heated glove adds warmth; it treats nothing. If you have Raynaud’s, diabetes, neuropathy or any circulation problem, ask your doctor before using heated gloves or socks: reduced sensation can stop you from feeling heat that is too strong. Start on low and remove the glove at any burning or unusual tingling.
For children, an adult sets the level and checks hands at every break, and the child must be able to say they are too hot and pull the mitt off alone. Besides the WASOTO kids’ mitts above, the CYCYHEAT kids’ mitts hide a five-finger liner inside the mitt and list two 5,000 mAh packs described as 5 V, 2 A DC-interface batteries; the listing gives no certification for the battery.
What the American reviews leave out
- Runtime claims assume mild cold. On a January morning in Winnipeg or Chicoutimi, the spare pack in an inside pocket is part of the kit.
- Ice fishing means wet hands. “Water-resistant” handles dry snow; near open water you want “waterproof”.
- Snowmobile wind is its own climate. A mitt with a long cuff closes the gap at the wrist.
- Power outages are a winter thing here. Charged gloves help in a cooling house. Follow the live outage map for Quebec.

Frequently asked questions
What are the best heated gloves in Canada?
For deep cold, a heated mitt such as the WASOTO (22.2 Wh, up to 8 hours on low, as stated). For dexterity, the SAVIOR HEAT five-finger gloves. Under gloves you own, the SAVIOR HEAT liners.
Are heated mitts warmer than heated gloves?
Yes. Fingers together share heat and expose less surface. Gloves win on dexterity. For snowmobiling or ice fishing, take the mitt.
How long do heated glove batteries last?
On the listings we checked, 4.8 to 11 hours on low and about 2.5 hours on high where given. Expect less in real cold, and keep spare packs warm.
Do Milwaukee heated gloves run on M12 batteries?
On Amazon.ca on November 4, 2026, the M12 heated gear in stock was jackets and hoodies, not gloves. Gloves sold as Milwaukee Leather are a different brand with their own 7.4 V packs.
Can you wash heated gloves?
Yes, batteries out first. Hand wash unless the label allows the machine, do not wring, and dry completely before reconnecting.
Do heated gloves help with Raynaud's?
They add warmth; they are not a treatment. With Raynaud's, diabetes or a circulation problem, ask your doctor first: reduced sensation can hide heat that is too strong.
Are heated socks worth it, and where do they heat?
When cold comes through your feet, yes. Some heat only the toes, others the sole and forefoot; a heated insole keeps your own socks.
Can kids wear heated mitts?
Yes, with an adult setting the level, starting on low. Not for babies or toddlers.
