Best Robot Vacuum and Mop in Canada (2026)

Specs checked November 4, 2026 · Version française

Almost every robot vacuum sold today drags some kind of damp pad, so “robot vacuum and mop” on a box tells you very little. What separates a robot that mops from one that smears is the dock: whether it washes the pad, dries it, and refills the water on its own. The second question is what happens at the edge of a rug. Get those two right and the rest is fine tuning.

The short answer

  • Hard floors with a few rugs: a dock that empties, washes and dries, with a published mop lift. The eufy X10 Pro Omni states 12 mm.
  • Real carpet in some rooms: a robot that leaves its mops at the dock, such as the Dreame L40s Ultra.
  • Tightest budget: the MOVA E40 Ultra was the lowest-priced washing dock here on the day we checked. Below that, you are buying a vacuum that wipes.
  • Mostly carpet: skip the mop. A self-emptying vacuum does the job for less.

How we picked, and what we did not do: we have not bench-tested these robots. Every specification on this page is quoted from the manufacturer’s own Amazon.ca listing, checked November 4, 2026, and every unit was confirmed in stock in Canada that day. When a listing leaves out a number, such as mop lift height, we write “not stated” rather than guess. Links to Amazon are affiliate links; BranchéQC may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not publish prices by hand; the Amazon page is what counts.

Self-emptying dock or mop-washing dock

A self-emptying dock does one job: when the robot parks, it sucks the dust bin out into a bag or a bagless bin in the base. That alone is a big quality-of-life gain, and it is all you get on a budget model like the Dreame D20 Plus. Its pad still has to come off and go under the tap after every run.

A mop-washing dock, sold as omni, ultra or all-in-one, adds the part people actually hate. It rinses the pad, dries it with warm air, refills the robot’s water tank and collects the dirty water. Some go further: the Dreame L40s Ultra rinses at 167 °F, and MOVA states water heated up to 100 °C on the P10 Pro Ultra Gen 2. Drying matters: a pad left damp in a closed dock starts to smell within days, and in a humid basement it gets worse.

Mop lifting on carpet: the deal-breaker

Most Canadian homes mix hard floors and rugs, so the robot has to do something with a wet pad when it reaches carpet. There are three answers. It can lift the pad by a few millimetres; the eufy X10 Pro Omni states 12 mm on carpet detection. It can leave the mops at the dock and vacuum the carpet dry, which is what the Dreame L40s Ultra offers for dry carpet. Or it can rely on no-mop zones you draw in the app.

Read the listing for a number. Several robots in this guide call their mop “liftable” or say nothing at all, and Shark’s own listing for the Stratos suggests marking carpeted areas as vacuum-only. A lift height that is not published is not a spec you can rely on. For shag or thick wool rugs, mop removal is the only answer that never fails.

Spinning pads, vibrating plate or roller

Two spinning pads are the most common format: they rotate against the floor under pressure, the way you would scrub by hand. The X10 Pro Omni states 180 rpm and 1 kg of downward pressure; the MOVA P10 states up to 260 rpm and 12 N. A vibrating plate, like Shark’s Sonic Mopping at up to 100 scrubs per minute, is one flat pad that oscillates. It is simpler and stays flat against the floor. A roller mop, such as the 27 cm roller on the eufy C28 Omni, is rinsed continuously while it works, so the water touching the floor stays clean from start to finish. It is the newest format and sits at the top of the range.

LiDAR, the spinning laser turret on top, builds a room map and works in total darkness. It does not, on its own, tell a phone cable from a chair leg. That is the job of object recognition, done with a camera or structured light at the front.

Of our seven, the eufy X10 Pro Omni is the most specific: its AI.See system is listed as identifying over 100 objects, wires included, even at night. Pet waste is the case every owner worries about, and none of the seven listings name it. Until a listing does, keep the robot out of a room where an accident is likely, or run it after a check.

What it costs to keep running

The robot is the one-time cost; the consumables are forever. We do not publish replacement prices because they move, but the list is the same for every model: dust bags (unless the base is bagless), mop pads, filters, side brushes and, on docks that dose it automatically, cleaning solution.

The listings give the bag intervals: about two months for the eufy X10 Pro Omni, up to 75 days for the MOVA E40 Ultra, up to 100 days for the Dreame L40s Ultra and up to 150 days for the D20 Plus. The Shark Stratos base is bagless, so there is no bag to buy at all. Before you order, search Amazon.ca for the model’s replacement kit and confirm it exists; a robot without available parts gets old fast.

What the American reviews leave out

  • Salt season is half the year. From the first snow to spring, de-icing salt and slush come in on every pair of boots and dry into a dull white film on hardwood and tile near the door. A dry vacuum spreads it around; a daily pass with a washed pad stops the film from building up. A dock that washes hot sends the pad back out clean instead of carrying yesterday’s salt.
  • The boot tray is an obstacle. Set a no-go zone around the entrance mat and boot tray, or the robot pushes slush water across the hallway. Mop the entrance after the tray, not through it.
  • Pads wear faster in winter. Grit and salt are abrasive. Plan to replace pads more often from November to April than the summer schedule suggests.
  • Many homes are 2.4 GHz plus 5 GHz. Several listings, eufy and Dreame included, state 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. If your router merges both bands under one name, setup can fail until you split them.
  • The dock needs a permanent outlet. It stays plugged in all the time. If the best spot has no receptacle, adding one is work for a licensed electrician; in Quebec, you can get a quote from a licensed master electrician.
  • French is not a given. None of the seven listings mention French voice prompts or a French app. In a French-speaking household, check the brand’s app before buying.

On timing: November prices move, and we do not predict discounts. Choose the dock type and lift spec first, then watch that one model’s price. A cheaper robot with the wrong dock is not a saving.

What none of these robots do

They do not climb stairs, so a two-storey house means carrying the robot or buying two. They do not scrub a stain that has been drying for three days; that still takes a hand mop. And they leave a thin strip along baseboards unless the mop extends, which is why MOVA and Dreame both advertise extendable mops or arms.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best robot vacuum and mop in Canada?

For most Canadian homes with hard floors and a few rugs, a dock that empties the bin, washes the pad and dries it, paired with a published mop lift. On the November 4, 2026 Amazon.ca listings, the eufy X10 Pro Omni is the best documented of that type: 12 mm lift, 45 °C air drying and recognition of over 100 objects, wires included. With thick carpet, look at the Dreame L40s Ultra instead, which can leave its mops at the dock.

Is a robot vacuum and mop worth it?

It is worth it when the dock does the dirty part: washing and drying the pad. A robot that only drags a damp cloth saves less time than it seems, because you still rinse the cloth after every run. If your floors are mostly carpet, a self-emptying vacuum without mopping is the better use of the money.

Are robot mops safe on hardwood floors?

On sealed hardwood, yes, as long as you control the water. Pick a model with adjustable water flow, use the lowest setting that works, and avoid maximum flow on unsealed or worn wood. A dock that dries the pad matters too, since a pad put away wet is what smells, not what damages the floor.

Will a robot mop wet my rugs?

It depends on the lift. Some listings give a height, such as 12 mm on the eufy X10 Pro Omni; several in this guide do not state one at all. Robots that detach their mops at the dock avoid the problem completely. Whatever you buy, setting rugs as no-mop zones in the app is the reliable backup.

What is the difference between a self-emptying and a self-washing dock?

A self-emptying dock sucks the dust out of the robot into a bag or bin. A self-washing dock, often sold as omni or all-in-one, also rinses the mop, dries it, and refills the robot's water. Only the second one makes the mopping hands-free.

Which Dreame robot vacuum and mop is sold in Canada?

Several Dreame models are listed on Amazon.ca with a note that they are designed for use in Canada, including the D20 Plus and the L40s Ultra we compare here. The L40s Ultra is the mopping one: hot water rinse, drying and removable mops. The D20 Plus self-empties but rinses nothing.

Can I buy the Dyson robot vacuum and mop in Canada?

When we searched Amazon.ca on November 4, 2026, the results for the Dyson Spot+Scrub Ai showed only third-party replacement parts, not the robot itself. Check Dyson Canada directly, and compare it on the same three points as everything else: dock, mop lift and consumables.

Do these robots speak French?

None of the seven listings we checked mention French voice prompts or a French app, so do not assume it. If it matters in your home, check the app's language settings on the brand's site before buying. Voice assistant support, where listed, depends on your assistant's own language settings.

Should I wait for Black Friday?

Prices on Amazon.ca move often in November, but we do not predict discounts. The practical move is to choose the model on its specs first, then watch its price for a few weeks. A lower price on the wrong dock type is not a deal.
